Service and Outreach

Members of First United Methodist Church have ample opportunity to use their talents, skills, and interests in ministry to others at the church and in the community. Through involvement and service, we discover and share the best we have to give. Through our budget and through special giving, we minister locally to a multitude of people.

Local Ministries that we support include:

• Relay for Life
• Boy Scouts
• Lauderdale County United Methodist Cluster
• Habitat for Humanity
• Lauderdale County Ministerial Alliance
• Special Olympics
• Crossroads Ministries

Reelfoot Rural Ministries

We provide clothing for less fortunate families.

Project 20/20

We provide used eye glasses for use by optometrists on VIM Work Teams.

Youth Mission Project

We support our youth in their various ministries.

     First United Methodist Church's ministry goes far beyond dollars and cents. Men, women, and youth from our church give time and talents to minister in many and varied ways. In addition to the programs mentioned above, we have members on many boards and agencies ministering to the needs within Lauderdale County.
